The 2 Clock Towers postponed to 2021

The longest historic endurance event will not return in 2020. The 2 Tours d'Horloge, organized jointly between VdeV and HVM Racing on the Paul-Ricard (Var), are postponed for one year after the application of the French reconfinement in November.

The race, initially announced for November 7 and 8, has been postponed for one year, to November 5-7, 2021. “To date, although the use of the Paul Ricard circuit remains technically possible, we have no formal guarantee from the prefectural authorities to protect our competitors from a last-hour cancellation, indicate Éric and Laure Van de Vyver.

Furthermore, in addition to the worsening health risk, the current situation is accompanied by strict restrictions on travel within France or from abroad, while the accommodation capacity near the circuit tends to be significantly reduced. . »

It's a hard blow for the 2 Clock Towers, which attracted a whopping 44 crews according to the latest entry list. “This observation is a powerful encouragement to continue on the same path and to work now to prepare for the 2 Tours d’Horloge 2021.” The organizers are also working to enrich the first half of 2021 with a new historic event.
