Matt Kenseth is the second Joe Gibbs Racing driver after Denny Hamlin to qualify for the second phase of the Chase. The pilot of the Toyota No. 20 took advantage of Kevin Harvick's (Stewart-Haas) to sign his fifth victory of the season at Loudon, his second on the New Hampshire oval after that of 2013. It is the 36th success of his career in the Sprint Cup.
If Kevin Harvick seems doomed to victory in the next two races to qualify, the Stewart-Haas driver is not the only one to be in bad shape. Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) only took 37th place after hitting the wall following a puncture.
