Aric Almirola confirmed for 2020

The Stewart-Haas Racing confirmed the extension of Aric Almirola in Nascar Cup Series for the 2020 season. The team of Tony Stewart and Gene Haas has secured a new contract with the title sponsor of the No. 10 Ford Mustang, Smithfield Foods Inc.

Aged 35, Aric Almirola has been linked since 2012 to this American company which supported him when he started full time in the highest category of Nascar.

“I said when I arrived at Stewart-Haas Racing that it was an opportunity that every driver dreams of and I am delighted to be able to take advantage of it again”, commented the person concerned.

After 6 seasons spent with Richard Petty Motorsports, Aric Almirola raised his level of play by finishing 5th in the championship. The Stewart-Haas Racing driver was eliminated from the playoffs at the end of the first segment.
