Coronavirus: Nascar on hiatus until May

La Nascar will experience an unusual truce with the coronavirus pandemic. While the discipline is on tour every weekend, the championship has been paused at least until May.

While the events in Atlanta (Georgia) and Homestead-Miami (Florida) have been postponed, Nascar officials have also confirmed the postponement of the meetings in Texas, Bristol (Tennessee), Richmond (Virginia), Talladega ( Alabama), and Dover, Delaware.

While the USA is in a state of emergency with more than 4600 cases detected in the territory, Nascar hopes to be able to resume competition in Martinsville (Virginia) on May 9. Better still, officials hope to compete in all of the postponed events, which currently number seven. Perhaps by increasing the number of "doubleheaders" or by extending the season which is due to end at the beginning of November.
