The number 24 of course evokes the double clock tower, the holy grail of racing pilots.Endurance, but also a legend of the NASCAR involved in the Garage 56 project, Jeff Gordon.
A legendary number for a legendary event.

For the centenary edition of 24 Hours of Le Mans On June 10 and 11, 2023, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 entered by Hendrick Motorsports will therefore wear a number dear to the heart of the team and all NASCAR fans, the 24 made famous by Team vice-president Jeff Gordon. The “Wonder Boy” won 93 Cup Series races and four championships with this number. Since Gordon's retirement, his successor William Byron has added four victories.
The Chevrolet Camaro entered by the Hendrick Motorsports team as part of the Garage 56 program will sport a blue, gold and white dress in the colors of the American tire manufacturer GoodYear and Chevrolet. The American flag on the front hood recalls, if necessary, the US spirit of the project.
Seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson, former 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Mike Rockenfeller and world champion Jenson Button Formula 1 2009, will share the wheel of this very special Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Next Gen.
