Harvick and Hamlin win at Dover

Yours and mine between Kevin Harvick (Stewart-Haas Racing – Ford) et Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing – Toyota) On Nascar Cup Series. The two best performers of the 2020 season took turns shining on the Dover oval last weekend, but it was Harvick who finished the meeting with the honorary title of regular season champion.

Hamlin had, however, started his weekend perfectly by getting the better of his teammate Martin Truex Jr, one of the best performers on the Delaware track (a victory and a second place in 2019). But it was Hamlin who played against the No. 19 Toyota Camry in the last ten laps to equal Harvick's six victories, 4th in this first race behind Kyle Busch, a Joe Gibbs hat-trick.

The Stewart-Haas Racing resident will finally take his revenge the next day, by dominating the second segment and the last part of the event, winning with more than 3″ ahead of Truex Jr, once again second, and Jimmie Johnson (Hendrick Motorsports – Chevrolet), who remains in contention for a Chase qualifying spot this weekend at Daytona.

Note that Kevin Harvick, in addition to offering Ford the 700th victory in the Cup Series, will earn 15 bonus points for the Chase with his first place in the regular season.
