It was through the networks that Kurt Busch announced his departure from Stewart-Haas Racing with which he has been evolving for the last 5 years. With team leaders Daniel Knost, Tony Gibson and Billy Scott whom he wanted to thank, the 2004 champion achieved 6 victories, 11 poles, 37 Top 5s and 90 Top 10s. But if he succeeded each time to enter the playoffs, he never reached the final circle.

“Unfortunately, fate decided that I should not stay. I can't wait to see what happens next with new opportunities that present themselves,” commented the former driver of the No. 41 Ford.
Kurt Busch is expected to join Chip Ganassi Racing while the Mexican Daniel Suarez, who had to give up his place to Martin Truex Jr, could complete the Stewart-Haas Racing squad.
Amazing how fast five years goes by… especially when @KurtBusch is at the wheel. Your dedication and desire are hard to match. Know the next chapter of your career will be great. From all of us, thank you. pic.twitter.com/zOh1FsLkGy
