Nascar – Kenseth does not see himself staying at Joe Gibbs Racing

Matt Kenseth gave an update on his situation in Nascar Cup Series where he has been competing with Joe Gibbs Racing since 2013. The former resident of Roush Fenway Racing, champion of the first category in 2003, seems pessimistic about his future within Joe Gibbs' team and admits to being into the unknown for next year.

“I'm not really worried, but I don't have any steering wheel for next year as of now, reconnaît Matt Kenseth, pilote de la Toyota Camry #20. I hope to continue racing but I don't have any options for 2018 at this time. I haven't worked on it very intensively, but I don't think I'll have the opportunity to ride in the JGR next year. »

Matt Kenseth is being discussed to replace Dale Earnhardt Jr at Hendrick Motorsports, with the son of the seven-time Nascar Cup Series champion having indicated he will retire at the end of the year. The current Joe Gibbs Racing driver did not wish to comment on these speculations. The driver of the No. 20 Toyota is still looking for a first victory this season even though he has 38 Cup Series victories.
