Nascar – Keselowski wins at Martinsville

Brad Keselowski (Team Penske) gave Ford its first victory at Martinsville (Virginia) since 2002 by winning the STP 500 contested on the half-mile oval.

The driver of the No. 2 Fusion scored his second success of the season by finishing ahead of Kyle Busch (Joe Gibbs Racing) who relinquished control of the race with 64 laps to go. The 2012 champion of the Nascar Cup Series had been penalized at the start of the race for excessive speed in the pits and had to start from the back of the pack.

His teammate Joey Logano took 4th place between Chase Elliott (Hendrick Motorsports) and Austin Dillon (Richard Childress Racing) after being the victim of a penalty for a mechanic's error during a stop and a puncture .

Martin Truex Jr (Furniture Row Racing) and Chase Elliott won the first two segments of the STP 500.
