NASCAR – List of drivers eligible for Sprint Unlimited revealed

NASCAR has revealed the list of drivers who will be able to participate in the Sprint Unlimited at Daytona, Florida on February 14 to open the 2015 Sprint Cup Series season.

NASCAR – List of drivers eligible for Sprint Unlimited revealed

In 2015, the terms of eligibility for Sprint Unlimited evolve slightly. In addition to previous winners of theopening event of the season NASCAR (which does not count for the championship, Editor's note) and the authors of a pole position in 2014, are added the former polemen of the Daytona 500 and the drivers who participated in the Chase in 2014. That is a total of 25 drivers (compared to 18 in 2014) who can for the moment take the start of this race which will be contested next February 14 in Florida on the Daytona route.

Note that following his health concerns, Brian Vickers, resident of Michael Waltrip Racing, will not take part in the race. He should be replaced by the highest ranked driver in the 2014 Drivers' Championship, having not been selected according to the previous selection criteria. Denny Hamlin (Joe Gibbs Racing) won this event in 2014.
