Ryan Newman moving to Roush Fenway in 2019

“Rocket Man” will continue his career in Nascar Cup Series in 2019, but will change teams after five years under the Richard Childress Racing banner.

Ryan Newman will be the new recruit for Jack Roush and Roush Fenway Racing next year after starting at Penske, then moving to Stewart-Haas before joining Richard Childress in 2014. Newman will drive the No. 6 Ford Mustang, replacing Trevor Bayne.

The 2014 runner-up and winner of the 500 Daytona 2008 made the announcement official this Saturday evening on the sidelines of the weekend in Richmond, Virginia. One of the drivers with at least 600 Nascar starts, Newman, 40, will team up with Ricky Stenhouse Jr.
