Après Fontana (Californie) en mars dernier, Martin Truex Jr (Toyota) a décroché sa seconde victoire de la saison en remportant la Pocono 400 (Pennsylvanie) après s’être imposé également dans le premier segment.
The reigning champion took the advantage by taking advantage of interruptions at the end of the race due to accidents by Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Denny Hamlin and Erik Jones to take the lead against Kevin Harvick (Ford), winner of the second segment, who remained in control for most of the race.
The resident of the Stewart-Haas Racing finally had to settle for fourth place, losing to Kyle Larson (Chevrolet) and Kyle Busch (Toyota) who was unable to take the lead during the last restart despite his new tires.
Martin Truex celebrated the 14th victory of his career and his second on the “Tricky Triangle” after a first success in 2015.
