Oreca bounces back in Lédenon

At the beginning of the month, the 3 FFSA GT2010 championship began on the Nogaro circuit in Gers. A weekend marred by ballast issues, and which did not smile on the Oreca team.

After tests in Dijon, the Var team led by Michel Rafaelli arrived in Lédenon more motivated than ever, determined to return to the forefront.

Race 1 thus saw the victory of Soheil Ayari and Bruno Hernandez, the sister car being forced to retire after being hit by a latecomer while it was in the lead. The next day, the Oreca team's Audi R8s crossed the finish line in second and third positions behind the Ferrari F430. Team No. 23. A good weekend, as Michel Raffaelli confirms:

" The results are very positive, says the Audi Team ORECA Team Manager. After Nogaro, we took a 180° turn. It?s not very original, but it?s truly the result of teamwork. The drivers conducted a successful test session this week: everyone's work benefited everyone. We are reaping the rewards this weekend. »

A satisfaction shared by Stéphane Ortelli, who is now in sixth position in the championship.

“Soheil and Bruno gave the Audi R8 LMS its first success this season and both cars are on the podium in Race 2, declares the Monegasque pilot. That's great ! Race 1 remains a bit in our throats: we were in the lead before a latecomer hit us. It's annoying, but the work we put in during testing was productive. We have to be the fastest with the R8 LMS and that was the case this weekend. »

Next meeting, May 8 and 9 in Dijon.
