PCCF – Full box for Dorian Boccolacci at Paul Ricard

If he had by his own admission assured his departure yesterday, Dorian Boccolacci (Martinet by Alméras) this time took the best start in a second Var race in Porsche Carrera Cup France which saw him start in pole position. Jaxon Evans certainly jumped better at the start, but it was the Cannes native who came out on top of the S de la Verrerie.

Quickly, three big fights enlivened the front posts: that for victory between the Alméras drivers Dorian Boccolacci and Jaxon Evans (winner yesterday in race 1), that for 3rd position between Marvin Klein and Florian Latorre, teammates within the CLRT , as well as that for 5th place between Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer (Lechner Racing) and Alessandro Ghiretti (Martinet by Alméras).

If Boccolacci held on to the lead despite the pressure put on by Evans, Marvin Klein had to leave the third step of the podium to Latorre 10 minutes from the finish, the latter having also set the fastest lap on the track.

The CLRT driver could even have finished second following a small mistake from Evans at the end of the race. Simmenauer took 5th place ahead of Ghiretti, while Ugo Gazil, 10th overall, finished 3rd among the Rookies.

For once, Nicolas Misslin (Lechner Racing) started ahead of Jérôme Boullery (YDEO by Racing Technology) in the Pro-Am category and managed to maintain his position, for his first victory of the season.

Boullery, on the attack, made a mistake at the end of the race but was still able to save his 2nd place in the last turn of the last lap against François Lansard (MRT by CLRT). Behind them, the ghost Raymond Narac (IMSA Performance) continues his learning of the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup. Maxence Maurice (IMSA Performance) won in the Am category after having fought hard against Tugdual Rabreau (CLRT). Franck Leherpeur (CLRT) once again takes 3rd position.

Next meeting for the players in the Porsche Carrera Cup France: June 18, 19 and 20 in Belgium, on the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit, again alongside the International GT Open.
