First victory for Panis and Debard

There is life after F1. Olivier Panis was back at Magny-Cours this weekend in the French Championship FFSAGT, with success. Author of a perfect start, the Grenoblois irreparably flies away at the start of the race. When he returned to the pits to hand over to Éric Debard, his lead was more than ten seconds over Jean-Philippe Dayraut, in full explanation with Soheil Ayari.

The driver changes do not change anything in the lead, Éric Debard completes the work started by Olivier Panis. The two men won for the first time in GT. Olivier Panis thus celebrates his first victory on the circuit, since his memorable success in the streets of Monaco in 1996. “As far as I remember, since Monaco 1996 I have won a race of Karting in Valencia last year and a race in Andros Trophy. It went very well today, the race was very beautiful. Finally, we have success! I escaped then Eric managed well at the end of the race. We are relaunching today in the Championship. »

Second today, Bruno Hernandez and Soheil Ayari take the lead in the French FFSA GT Championship at Magny-Cours. The rest of the debates will take place in a few weeks at Val de Vienne.

In GT3, Mike Parisy and Philippe Gaillard won ahead of Antoine Leclerc and David Tuchbant and the duo Olivier Thevenin and Arnaud Peyroles. “We are the men of the second race,” analyzes Mike Parisy. “We constantly lack success on Saturday, however, this is the third time in three meetings that we have won on Sunday. To catch up in the Championship we will have to get back on track on Saturday. Today we performed well, with a great package. My teammate Philippe Gaillard was impeccable. »

Third today Olivier Thévenin and Arnaud Peyroles increase their lead at the head of the French FFSA GT3 Championship. Minds are now turned towards the Val de Vienne, but already, even if they monopolize the podium today, the Lamborghini drivers are worried about the performance of the Audi R8 and the new Ferrari F430?
