French return to Albi

Albigensian Eric Debard will be one of the candidates for victory in GT. At the wheel of a Corvette chassis that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in LM GT1, the local will be able to count on Olivier Panis to help him achieve a third success.

But Soheil Ayari and Bruno Hernandez will not want to give up a single point. Leading the championship with ten points, the Luc Alphand Aventures crew will also have to resist Laurent Groppi and Patrick Bornhauser and their Saleen, always performing well on the Tarn track.

If six GT1s will fight to take the lead under the checkered flag, the GT3 peloton promises to be even livelier with 19 cars expected (five Ferrari, seven Lamborghinis, two Alpinas, four Dodges and an Audi) and some world-class drivers like Eric Hélary and Stéphane Ortelli.

In the other categories, Nicolas Milan can go for the Clio Cup title this weekend like Grégory Guilvert in the THP Spider Cup.

On the celebrity side, Jean Alesi, Christian Karembeu, Denis Brognard, Tomer Sisley, Emma Daumas, Magloire, Karine Lima, Gérard Holtz, Cyril Neveu and Frédéric Diefenthal responded to the call from the Sports and Cultural Association of the Security Group of the Presidency of the Republic which will allow 40 children suffering from a serious or orphan illness to participate in the “Thirst for Life” days. And a set by Laurent Wolf will punctuate Saturday evening.
