Robert Kubica will test the Renault Sport Trophy

Robert Kubica will get back behind the wheel of a Renault by participating in the Renault Sport Trophy round on September 24 and 25 at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium). The old pilot F1, seriously injured in a car accident rally in 2011, has since returned to competition. Champion of WRC 2 in 2013, the Pole returned to the circuits, notably participating in the 12 Hours of Mugello (Italy) this year.

“I quickly felt at ease behind the wheel of Renault Sport RS 01, explained Robert Kubica who trained on the Alès circuit (Gard). Even on a winding route like that of Alès, its qualities are immediately obvious, particularly the braking power offered by the carbon discs. I was impressed with how late you can brake and the lack of body roll, even when pushing to take full advantage of the available grip. I can't wait to drive it at Spa, where all the downforce this car generates will be on display. »

Robert Kubica will be entered with Christophe Hamon on a Duqueine Engineering RS 01.
