Romain Grosjean confident in Brno

Romain Grosjean is taking part this weekend in Brno in the third meeting of the GT1 World Championship. The day after a pre-qualifying session fought in the rain, the Franco-Swiss driver is confident, especially if the weather conditions improve.

« The car seems really good, it is well balanced and the dry settings are very goods, confides the driver of the No. 5 Matech Ford GT, who teams up with Thomas Mutsch. The rain settings can be refined but I think we have good potential. »

« In these sessions you never really know who has the fastest car. It's up to the one who is luckiest. For us, everything is going well and we hope to have a better weekend than at Silverstone and a little more like the one in Abu Dhabi. » In this emirate of the Persian Gulf, during the first round of the championship, on the Yas Marina circuit, the Grosjean-Mutsch crew won.

« We now have to score points at each meeting, continues Grosjean, whose objective is to return to F1 in 2011. We had our bad race of the year (at Silverstone) and now I hope everything will be fine until the end of the season. »

In addition, this Brno meeting will be an opportunity for Romain Grosjean to increase his experience behind the wheel of the Ford GT, three weeks before the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
