Sébastien Ogier looks back on his experience in the Porsche Supercup in Monaco

Il n?a pas démérité. Pour sa première apparition en Porsche Supercup, ce week-end à Monaco, Sébastien Ogier came out with honors. 14th in qualifying, the official Volkswagen driver finished the race in 13th place, but with very promising lap times. “I'm a little disappointed not to have managed to complete a clear lap in qualifying because of the traffic. We could have hoped for better, but the result is decided in qualifying,” deplores the Gapençais.

“It was a fantastic experience! I was able to realize this dream thanks to Porsche, TAG Heuer and Volkswagen, and I am very grateful to them. Experience Monaco without being part of a rally, it was very special for me, » notes the current leader of the World Rally Championship (WRC). “I had a good race and was able to gain a place shortly after the start. My best times were not far from those of Sean (Edwards, the winner of the race, Editor’s note). It really wasn't bad, especially considering that I only had half a day of testing with the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. I tried to make my way through the peloton, but it is almost impossible to overtake in Monaco. In any case, I'm very happy and I can't wait to go to the Rally of Greece! » The Frenchman's performance was also closely followed by Jost Capito, his boss and director of Volkswagen Motorsport: “Sébastien was brilliant, especially considering his lack of track experience. This only confirms his talent as a driver and I would like to congratulate him on this race. »
