Despite the pressure exerted throughout the race by Kévin Ropars (Peugeot 308 RC – Ropars Racing Team), Steven Palette (BMW M2 CS Racing) did not fail on the Magny-Cours circuit to win race 2 of the event counting for the French FFSA Tourism Championship.
Already winner of a race at Nogaro, Palette, who had taken the advantage at the start over Ropars, therefore signed the double in the Nièvre after being declared winner of race 1, following the penalty inflicted on Frédéric Caprasse (Peugeot 308 RC – JSB) after the first confrontation on Saturday.
Palette won this Sunday in front of Ropars after dominating from start to finish a one-time event neutralized after Viny Beltramelli (Peugeot 208 RC – Ropars Racing Team) went off the track. Sanctioned by ten places on the Sunday grid, Fred Caprasse made the show by moving up from 11th to 3rd place to complete the podium.
In TCA1, success went to Julien Jacob-Cano (Peugeot RCZ RC – Runner for Ever), while TCA2 and TC Light went to Styve Juif (Renault Clio Cup IV – GM Sport) and Xavier Harbon (Peugeot 208 RC – GM Sport).
