One of the longest races of the Super GT season, the 500 kilometers of Fuji, (Japan) dedicated the crew Yuji Tachikawa and Hiroaki Ishiura (Lexus) after a long ordeal of almost 4 hours due in particular to a half-hour red flag due to a storm.

Little known in the West, Yuji Tachikawa is considered the master of Fuji Speedway since this is his ninth success on this track. The Lexus LC500 overtook the Nissan GT-R Nismo of Ronnie Quintarelli and Tsugio Matsuda with 11 laps to go.

Frederic Makowiecki (Nissan) could claim a podium before his teammate lost three positions in the final part of the effort. The Frenchman finished sixth. As for the outgoing champions Jenson Button and (Honda), they see the checkered flag in third place.
In the GT300 category, victory went to the duo Katsuyuki Hiranaka-Hironobu Yasuda aboard their Nissan GT-R GT3 Nismo. Starting from pole position with his sidekick Kazuki Hiramine, the Franco-Argentinian Sacha fenestraz (Nissan) finishes at the foot of the podium. The former representative of the Renault Sport Academy consoles itself by moving up to third place in the general ranking.
