Robert Wickens: “I always had the idea of running again in the back of my mind”

This weekend at Daytona, as the curtain rises to the 24 hours, the new season will have a special flavor. Seriously injured in August 2018 on the Pocono circuit during the IndyCar round, Robert Wickens has since been deprived of the use of his legs. It is as a Hyundai driver that he will make his comeback to competition in the TCR category of the North American Touring Car Championship.

I'm doing well, thanks. I'm at a point in my recovery where I'm at the maximum my body will allow. Neurologically, I cannot progress any further than I am capable of as we speak (Robert can stand, take a few steps and move around with specialized equipment. Ndlr).
