WTCR 2022 Guide – Chasing Yann Ehrlacher

After a year 2021 marked by breathtaking competition, throughout the sixteen races entirely contested in Europe, 2022 should mark, with the reappearance of the Asian rounds, the real return to normal of the WTCR. Yann Ehrlacher will once again be the man to beat. A few cards having been redistributed, the double World Cup winner could come across sharper competition on the path to his third star.

Une nouvelle fois le WTCR, Coupe du monde des voitures de tourisme, promet une saison remplie d’émotions et de rebondissements. Tous les ingrédients semblent réunis pour faire de 2022 une année mémorable sur tous les aspects. Ce sera la dernière campagne des autos TCR avec un moteur 100% thermique. 2023 étant le début d’une nouvelle ère, hybride cette fois-ci (voir l’interview de Jean-Baptiste Ley ci-contre). Sur la piste, cette saison devrait être aussi très disputée. Yann Ehrlacher, le double vainqueur de la Coupe du monde sortant, repart pour conquérir une troisième couronne d’affilée.
