WTCR 2022 Guide – Chasing Yann Ehrlacher

After a year 2021 marked by breathtaking competition, throughout the sixteen races entirely contested in Europe, 2022 should mark, with the reappearance of the Asian rounds, the real return to normal of the WTCR. Yann Ehrlacher will once again be the man to beat. A few cards having been redistributed, the double World Cup winner could come across sharper competition on the path to his third star.

Once again the WTCR, World Touring Car Cup, promises a season full of emotions and twists and turns. All the ingredients seem to come together to make 2022 a memorable year in all aspects. This will be the last campaign for TCR cars with a 100% thermal engine. 2023 being the start of a new era, hybrid this time (see the interview with Jean-Baptiste Ley opposite).
