Honda Racing ready for WTCR opener

After 2019, 2020 and 2021, Honda Racing drivers will try to extend their WTCR record a little further. For three years, every opening round of the FIA ​​World Touring Car Cup has been won by a Honda. On the Pau-Ville circuit, the Japanese engine manufacturer intends to start this 2022 season in the best way.

« It's a circuit I've never raced on before, but we focused a lot on the challenges of street circuits in our pre-season preparations. I was very pleased with it and we have been strong in each of the last three WTCR season openers, so the aim is to continue that momentum this weekend,” announces ALL-INKL WTCR driver Néstor Girolami. With its Argentinian duo, the German team will try to return to the top of the WTCR. “ So far, we have proven every year in WTCR that Honda and ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport are ready to fight for the title, and so there is every reason to believe that we will be again this year. A new Honda team in WTCR

In France, Honda Racing also begins this weekend his new partnership with the Liqui Moly Team Engstler. At the wheel of a Honda Civic Type R TCR, Attila Tassi is ready to face this new challenge. “ Every year in WTCR I have been able to take another step forward, so after winning my first race in 2021, I hope to be able to challenge for victories more regularly this season. »

Alongside the Hungarian, Tiago Montero worked hard to get the Honda ready for Pau and the start of the Championship. “ Attila and I worked hard during pre-season to transfer as much of our knowledge from the car to the team as possible and give in-depth feedback from the tests we carried out, which is very important because of the level you have to reach to be competitive in WTCR », Specifies the Portuguese pilot.
