Yvan Muller (Cyan Racing) is in good shape at Pau-Arnos and he lets it be known. Quickly adapted to the roller coaster of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques with the best time in EL1, the Alsatian did it again during Q3 of the qualifying session to end the day on Saturday as the fastest man and with pole position. of Race 2.

Concerning the reverse grid of Race 1, the pole goes to Frédéric Vervisch (Comtoyou Team Audi). Tenth in Q2, the Belgian has the luxury of leading the peloton this Sunday morning ahead of Thed Björk (Cyan Performance) and Gabriel Tarquini (Cyan Performance). Nestor Girolami (ALL-INKL.COM Honda) and Esteban Guerrieri (ALL-INKL.COM Honda) complete the Top 5. Poleman in the main race, Yvan Muller will start 7th ahead of Yann Ehrlacher, Norbert Michelisz and Jean-Karl Vernay.

Eliminated in Q1, Lucas Engstler (Hyundai Racing Team), Robert Huff (Zengo Motorsport Services), Tom Coronel (Comtoyou DHL Team Audi), Jordi Gené (Zengo Motorsport), Bence Boldisz (Zengo Motorsport), Attila Tassi (ALL-INKL. DE Honda) and Mikel Azcona (Zengo Motorsport Services) will start 13th, 14th, 15, 16, 17th, 18th and 19th respectively. Having made a mistake in turn 5, the Belgian Gilles Magnus (Comtoyou Team Audi) was unable to record a time, thus falling short of the required 105%. It remains to be seen whether he will be drafted or not by the race management.
