Yann Ehrlacher on his way to a second coronation

Yann Ehrlacher is nevertheless cautious: “ 36 points is not a lot knowing that Sochi is a motor circuit, one of our weak points this season. The drop in points can happen quickly. » But the Frenchman is determined and his objective is clear: “ I'm going there to win the race. We will see later about the championship. I don't want to think about it necessarily, but if I keep that mindset it should do it. »

Yann Ehrlacher is the big favorite to succeed himself as king of the WTCR. His consistency (2 victories, 6 podiums, 1 pole position, no retirement) once again made the difference. However, the competition was tough for the Frenchman. This is the first time that the WTCR has visited the Sochi track, no reference times or settings are available on the 5,848 kilometers of the Russian track, the teams are starting from a blank sheet. Two races will be contested this Sunday at 12:15 p.m. and 14:15 p.m.
