There was no one on the road to Martin Truex Jr. this Sunday in Darlington. In demonstration, the forty-year-old left no chance to the big pieces of this Cup Series.
Quickly installed in the lead of the race, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver won the first two segments in quick succession with more than 140 laps in control and above all with more than 15 seconds ahead of his closest pursuer and teammate Kyle Busch.

The third and final segment is a carbon copy of the first two. Ultra-dominant, Martin Truex Jr. still had to be extra vigilant in the final moments when he saw Kyle Larson (Hendrick Motorsports) return to contact.

Nestled in the exhausts of the Joe Gibbs Racing driver, Kyle Larson was threatening but was never able to make the slightest attack on Martin Truex Jr.
Like his race, the New Jersey native then went to cross the finish line alone after leading 248 of the 293 laps on the day's program.

Thanks to this success at Darlington, Martin Truex Jr. brings his number of victories to 3 this season after those obtained at Phoenix and Martinsville. He is the only multiple winner in 2021.
