A reduction in travel restrictions for circuits

FFSA press release:

In the context of sporting practice, and in particular motor sport and karting, a relaxation of travel restrictions was obtained by the sports federations from the Ministry responsible for Sports. This evolution compared to the so-called 10 km rule concerns travel to an outdoor type ERP (PA) and therefore, on external circuits. From now on, a practitioner residing in the department of a circuit will be able to go there without distance limitation and a practitioner residing outside the department will have to respect the 30 km rule. It will be up to each practitioner to provide proof of address.

This is a significant recognition for sporting practice in general and for our sport in particular from the Government in the degraded health context that we are experiencing.

We are aware that a majority of circuits and practitioners are still affected by this travel limit. We are also aware that there remain inconsistencies in the application of health measures according to specific situations and not only in sport. This is why the FFSA and the FFM continue to work daily with public and administrative authorities to obtain further progress in favor of our common passion.

Please find below a summary of the applicable measures in compliance with the health protocols in force:

– For the sporting practice of minors:

Supervised sporting activities for minors are authorized in PA type ERPs (external circuits) within groups of 6 people and within the framework of the health protocols in force. When local circumstances justify it, particularly in priority neighborhoods under city policy, administrative authorities have been asked to be flexible on the criterion of 6 people.

When sporting activities take place on an outdoor circuit, it is possible to travel throughout your department of residence (or within a radius of 30 km around the home) to go to the place where the activity is practiced. , carry out a supervision mission (professional or voluntary, with proof of travel provided by the club) or accompany your children.

Individual sports practice in public domain remains subject to the 10 km rule.

– For the sports practice of adults:

Adults can practice individual physical activity in a public space or in a PA type ERP (outdoor circuits).

When sporting activities take place on an external circuit, the rule of the department of residence or 30 kms is applicable.

Individual sports practice in public domain remains subject to the 10 km rule.

In principle, these practices must always take place in compliance with the curfew from 6 a.m. to 19 p.m. Only priority audiences (professional and high-level athletes, etc.) can practice without restrictions and are authorized to deviate from the curfew. Practice supervised by an association/club also remains possible while respecting the curfew (return home at 19 p.m. maximum). It is limited to 6 people (educator included) on public roads. On the other hand, if the activity is supervised, there is no limitation on the number of adults in outdoor sports equipment.
