A set of stars in the Gers

After a long wait, the national circuit season resumes this weekend in Nogaro for the Easter Cups. This first meeting offers a quality line-up, but also some prestigious names. On the sidelines of its program Le Mans with Oreca, Olivier Panis will compete in the French Championship for the first time FFSAGT, at the wheel of a DKR Engineering Corvette C6.R with Eric Debard as a teammate. The two men will face the Corvettes of Soheil Ayari / Bruno Hernandez and Jean-Philippe Dayraut / Wilfried Merafina. The Saleen of the Larbre Compétition team, where we find the title holder Patrick Borrnhauser associated with Laurent Groppi, will also be formidable. The French FFSA GT3 Championship is not to be outdone. Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Viper will challenge the all-new BMWs from Sport Garage.

After freelancing in GT2 in 2008, Sébastien Loeb takes it up a notch and will make a notable appearance on the Paul Armagnac circuit, at the wheel of a Ferrari 550 Maranello which he will share with Ange Barde. The five-time world champion will also compete in the Porsche Carrera Cup in Gers. As in Albi last season, he will therefore face the specialists in the category who will compete throughout the season. Anthony Beltoise will put his title back on the line against some great opposition: Renaud Derlot, Julien Canal, Mike Parisy and Frédéric Makowiewki and many other drivers who are firmly determined not to give up.

Another headliner present, François Delecour will be the driving force behind a brand new series called Racecar. These imposing sedans reminiscent of the mounts of Nascar will offer a little American touch on the French circuits. With a large 8 hp V450, a tubular chassis and an aggressive line, they should offer a great show in the FFSA Super Series.

Let's not forget the other disciplines either, like Formula Renault 2.0 West European Cup, the Clio Cup, the Bio Racing Series, the Caterham Cup, the Mitjet, the THP Spider Cup and some other events, including a concert by Laurent Wolf. So come to Nogaro on Saturday morning for the unmissable Easter Cups.
