United Autosports does not miss its return to GT at Monza

Si United Autosports now shines in LM P2, both in ELMS whether WEC and 24 Hours of Le Mans, the British team made its return to GT this season, via a program in GT4 European Series and the commitment of two McLaren 570S.

Two cars that finished on the podium Monza this Saturday, with victory overall and in Silver for the tandem Charlie Fagg – Bailey Voisin, when the sister car climbed to 4th position in the event, but took third place in this same Silver category.

If the Toyota GR Supra GT4 n°8 – CMR of Antoine Potty led the race for a long time after taking the lead at the start from pole sitter Joel Sturm (Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 n°22 – Allied Racing), the Belgian lost time at the end of the stint, blocked by a competitor at the Parabolique.

Enough to let precious seconds slip away which his torchbearer Stéphane Lémeret missed against Charlie Fagg, who took the lead and was able to build a small enough lead until the checkered flag.

Potty and Lémeret finished 2nd overall and in Silver, and ahead on the track Ivan Jacoma and Max Busnelli (Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 n°718 – Centri Porsche Ticini), winners in Pro-Am.

In the well-represented French clan, Eric Clément and Romain Ianetta (Audi R8 LMS GT4 n°77 – Team Fullmotorsport) finished 6th and third in Pro-Am and ahead of theAston Martin Vantage GT4 n°55 – Mirage Racing of Ruben del Sarte – Tom Canning, the Audi R8 LMS GT4 n°42 – Saintéloc Racing of French Pro-Am champions Grégory Guilvert and Fabien Michal and the Mercedes-AMG GT4 n°87 – AKKA-ASP from the pair Jim Pla – Jean-Luc Beaubelique.

In the Am Cup, the fight raged until the finish line with success by 16 thousandths of the Toyota GR Supra GT4 n°3 – CMR of Wilfried Cazalbon and Andrea Benezet, just ahead of the No. 8 Audi R4 LMS GT69 – Team Fullmotorsport of Christophe Hamon and Michael Blanchemain.

The second race of the weekend will start tomorrow at 13:10 p.m. and will be followed live on our website.
