V8 – Marcos Ambrose ready for his return

Returned at the start of the season in the discipline which revealed him in the early 2000s, with two titles to his name in 2003 and 2004 before directing his career towards the United States and the NASCAR, Marcos Ambrose will have only taken part in one race weekend in Adelaide at the end of February since the championship kicked off.

A necessary step back to regain competitiveness in the discipline according to Ambrose who will finally make his return on September 13 for the Wilson Security Sandown 500 in Melbourne, Australia, first event of the Enduro Cup.

But it was especially towards the Bathurst 1000 meeting on October 11 that the driver of the DJR Team Penske turns his attention. “People forget that I only have five participations. Yes, I would love to win it. It's definitely a trophy that's missing in the cupboard and I have a good chance this year.

Scott Pye is driving well, the team is improving, and everything is in place to win races. We have some new things coming for the car, so I think we're going to have our best chance this year at these endurance races. »
