Victory for the Corvette Sangari

The Sangari Team Brazil Corvette C6.R won at Le Castellet, on the Paul-Ricard circuit, where the seventh of eight rounds of the FIA ​​GT championship was contested. Enrique Bernoldi and Roberto Streits dominated the entire weekend of competition at Paul-Ricard, finally beating the No. 12 Maserati MC2 of Alex Müller and Miguel Ramos. Followed by the Corvette C6.Rs n°3 and n°19 then the Maserati MC12 n°1 and n°33. Olivier Panis and Ange Barde finished in seventh place at the wheel of their Ferrari 550 Maranello.

In the drivers' championship standings, Michael Bartels and Andrea Bertolini took the lead over the crew of the No. 4 Corvette, Mike Hezemans and Anthony Kumpen, who had to retire. The 2008 world champion team, however, only has a four-point lead and everything will be decided during the final round of the championship, in Zolder, on October 25.

In GT2, it was the Ferrari F430 of Toni Vilander and Gianmaria Bruni which finished at the top of the category, ahead of the Porsche 997 by Richard Westbrook and Emmanuel Collard.
