Vitaphone is a hit

The FIA GT championship turns a page in its history, before the appearance in 2010 of the GT1 world championship and the GT2 and GT3 European championships. For this last race of the year, all eyes were on the duel between the two crews capable of winning the title: Hezemans/Kumpen in the No. 6 Corvette C4.R and Bartels/Bertolini in the No. 12 Maserati MC1. XNUMX.

Despite their penalty received before the race, Mike Hezemans and Anthony Kumpen provided a solid race to continue to believe in the title. The Pekaracing Corvette ultimately finished in second place, behind the No. 12 Maserati MC33. The latter, driven by Alessandro Per Gudi and Matteo Bobbi, proved untouchable by losing the peloton from the first laps of the race.

But the second place of the Hezemans/Kumpen duo is not enough to win the champion title. Third, Andrea Bertolini and Michael Bartels won a third supreme prize in GT1, while Vitaphone consolidated a team title already acquired.

En GT2, c?est Richard Westbrook, associé pour l?occasion à Marco Holzer, qui remporte, seul, le titre en GT2. Porsche ayant décidé de remanier ses équipages afin de maximaliser les chances de battre Ferrari, Emmanuel Collard must give up on a reward that was open to him. The Frenchman finished third in the GT2 championship.
