The DJR driver is in great form on the fast and technical track of Sandown raceway. He started from pole position and led this race from start to finish without being put in difficulty by any of his opponents. He signs his second victory of the season and his first at Sandown since 2009! The Ford driver allowed himself the luxury of finishing 8,5 seconds behind Shane Van Gisbergen (Triple Eight Engineering). The Holden driver, without beginning to manage his lead in the championship, has a sufficiently comfortable margin to allow him to drop a few points to his opponents. With five meetings to go, SvG, second this morning, can seriously cherish the hope of winning its third title this season.

Anton de Pasquale climbs to the 3rd step
The second DJR driver completes the success of the former official Ford team. De Pasquale stuck to Van Gisbergen's heels throughout the race. But the Holden driver managed to control the Mustang thanks to a good pit stop by his Triple Eight team. Will Brown (erebus Motorsport) finished 4th and signed his best result of the season so far. He is ahead of Cameron Waters and James Courtney (both Tickford Racing drivers). Chaz Mostert (Walkinshaw Andretti United) finished a distant 10th place.
