And a new race winner in this 2022 F4 France season. After Alessandro Giusti, Hugh Barter, Souta Arao and Pierre-Alexandre Provost, Jerónimo Berrio has added his name to the list of victorious drivers this year.

Left in 2e position behind Yuto Nomura thanks to the reverse grid system, the Colombian made a very good start veering into the lead of the race from the first round. Despite a gap quickly created, Jerónimo Berrio had to deal with the return of Dario Cabanelas in the last minutes of the race.

Faster than all the other drivers on the track, the Swiss came back into the South American's exhausts. However, Cabanelas never found an opening on his counterpart and even had to defend his position on the last lap against Elliott Vayron who took advantage of the battle in front of him to catch up with the leading duo. Thus, Berrio signed his first victory of the season at the end of a controlled race just like the duel against Cabanelas.

If he cut the line in twoe position, Cabanelas finally received a 5-second penalty for gaining an advantage over Vayron on the last lap. He thus fell back to 5th place while Pelet recovered 3rde place on the podium.

Crowned champion at the end of Race 1 this Saturday morning, Alessandro Giusti did not miss his appointment. Although fallen back 12e in the first moments (10e on the grid), the member of the Rookie Academy AUTOhebdo managed to go back to 6e position.
