While we thought that Esteban Masson had taken a big chance for the title thanks to his two pole positions and his victory in Race 1, Macéo Capietto restarted everything by making a great comeback in Race 2. Starting from 7th position, the son of Prema's technical director got off to a good start and quickly found himself 5th.
At the same time, his rival Esteban Masson was having a big problem. At the high school turn, Noah Andy lit his tires and harpooned the championship leader. As a result, Masson was out halfway through the race, and the championship was completely restarted. Excited, Capietto passed Owen Tangavelou at the Safety Car restart and found himself second. When attacking Pierre-Alexandre Provost, Macéo finally had to lose to Alessandro Giusti, who took advantage of the fight between the two men to pass the first corner, like a trickster.
Giusti then made his final attack in Adelaide at the end of the race on Provost to take the lead and never let it go again. Macéo Capietto finished second ahead of Provost and again collected twelve points, bringing his total for the weekend to 24, compared to 27 for Esteban Masson. The title will therefore be decided during Race 3, during which Esteban Masson will start on pole and Macéo Capietto in 3rd position. As a reminder, Masson must score at least fourteen points in C3 and score more points than his direct opponent in this meeting.
