F4 France: Race 1 for Barter, points for Giusti

The title battle continues between Alessandro Giusti and Hugh Barter. Starting from pole position in Valencia (Spain), the member of the AUTOhebdo rookie academy took twenty-five points for victory… by finishing second in race 1.

Hugh Barter, who crossed the finish line in first position after getting the better of the Frenchman on the first lap, does not score points here in Spain, due to his involvement in Spanish F4 and the fact that he already driven on this circuit this year, as was already the case during the Belgian round of Spa-Francorchamps.

In any case, this is the eighth time this season that Hugh Barter crosses the line in first position, but he sees Alessandro Giusti, in very good form at the end of the season, come back to just three points before races 2 (this Saturday , 16:25 p.m.) and 3 (Sunday, 9:50 a.m.).

Author of an authoritative double pole position on Friday with no less than 7/10th ahead of Barter, Giusti will have the opportunity to take control of the championship this afternoon, if he scores at least four points. Souta Arao, also in contention for the title, finished 3rd and scored the points for second place.

Note that the race was contested largely under safety car regime. A first incident involving Edgar Pierre led to another between Yuto Nomura and Dario Cabanelas, before Antoine Fernande, at the end of the race, in turn caused a safety car.
