Giuliano Alesi, what assessment do you draw from this first season in Japan?
She gave me a lot. I rode in several categories and it clearly helped me. Between the GT300, the Super Formula, the Super Formula Lights, without forgetting the 24 Hours of Fuji in GT4, I gained a lot of experience! I assimilated the circuits, and above all understood what it was like to drive for real. In GP3 and F2 – especially if you break three engines per season (in reference to his struggling season in F2 in 2020. Editor’s note) – you only have very little driving. You then have to deliver immediately, and you don't have time to progress. It's never too late to learn, and this year I learned a lot.
How did your adaptation go?
