  • Victory for Ritomo Miyata (Team TOM'S) for the third round of the season, contested at Suzuka. This is his first victory in Super Formula, having scored his first two podiums last year.
  • The Japanese won thanks to an overtake three laps from the finish on Sho Tsuboi (P.mu/Cerumo Inging), thanks to fresher tires.
  • Liam Lawson (Team Mugen) gave up the podium to Ryo Hirakawa (Team Impul) in the final laps and had to settle for 4th place behind the official driver Toyota en WEC. The engine manufacturer also signs a hat-trick at Suzuka, on Honda grounds.
  • Championship leader Tomoki Nojiri (Team Mugen) retired after an accident with Toshiki Oyu (TGM Grand Prix). The two Super GT teammates collided mid-race. The reigning champion, surprised by Toshiki Oyu's lack of pace with cold tires, made contact in the first sector to end his race in the wall.
  • Giuliano Alesi (Team TOM'S) won his first points of the season with an 8th place, after his double retirement at Fuji.
  • In the championship, Tomoki Nojiri remains in the lead with 42 points, but his lead has disappeared. The winner of the day, Ritomo Miyata, moved up to 2nd place with 38 points, ahead of Liam Lawson and his 35 points.
