Pilot Wand of the Month for September

Compared to previous months, even more of you cast your votes for the three winners for the month of September. In the absence of drivers F1 or WRC, the match seemed very open between the Belgian Bertrand Baguette (Formula 3.5 champion in the World Series by Renault), the German Nico Hülkenberg (GP2 champion
Series) and Northern Irishman Kris Meeke (IRC champion). In the end, there was no suspense as Baguette's victory was clear. With 67,5%, he is well ahead of the third driver Williams F1 (holder next season?) with a score of 19,5%, narrowly ahead of Meeke himself, credited with 13% of the votes.

Pushed by an entire people who have been looking for a successor to Jacky Ickx for a long time, Bertrand Baguette therefore wins this election hands down. It’s a safe bet that our Belgian friends and readers have mobilized en masse to support their champion.

Winner this year of the World Series by Renault within the Draco International team, with five victories to his credit, including two last weekend for the final at Motorland Aragon, the native of Verviers now has the sole objective of integrating into quickly the Formula 1 peloton, and therefore to take the same trajectory as the Polish Robert Kubica who won the FR 3.5 Series in 2005.

The test at the wheel of the Renault F1, gleaned following his title, could provide some lessons on the future of this young 23-year-old driver, with a bachelor's degree in accounting, whose 2010 program is still unknown. See you next week to discover the names of the three drivers nominated for the month of October.
