Bourdais: “We had the rhythm”

Sébastien Bourdais (Olympique Lyonnais) experienced a qualifying session full of emotions this Saturday, on the Magny-Cours circuit. First best time in his qualifying group, the Frenchman saw his best time canceled because he had achieved it under yellow flags.

Fourth in group A, the driver of the car n°69 found himself in the quarter-finals against Craig Dolby (Tottenham), future pole-sitter. Beaten by less than a tenth by the Briton, the Le Mans can be legitimately disappointed to only start on the fourth row of the first race. “ The car was in the mix, and it doesn't matter much in the face-to-face with Dolby, says Bourdais. We had the same pace, and he took pole. We will have to base ourselves on this for tomorrow's races. »
