Bourdais ready to conclude

Sébastien Bourdais, the most renowned driver on the Superleague Formula field, did not take long to prove himself to be the most skilful driver in the young discipline. In Estoril and Monza, the Frenchman from Sevilla FC emerged victorious in each round. In Estoril, by winning the super final, and in Monza, by being the best driver in both races (first and third).

Despite an excellent record for a “beginner” in Superleague Formula, Le Manceau wants to remain cautious before the last round of the season. “ Jarama is a circuit that I have never had the opportunity to race on before in my career. In general we have some balance issues with the car in slow corners “, he acknowledges. " We'll see how that goes. We are in a good phase and have had two good weekends. So we know what we have to do to be competitive. Now, it's up to us to put this into practice on a circuit that I'm going to discover. »

Far from falling into triumphalism, the Frenchman maintains a deliberately humble attitude, knowing that his experience helped him during his first two weekends of competition. “ So far we have raced at two circuits (Estoril and Monza) that I knew and the transition has gone well. However, things are more difficult than the results suggest. »

After a fairly difficult start to the year in Formula 1, Le Manceau was able to reset the counters and once again taste the pleasure of victory. Sébastien Bourdais admits to having had no difficulty adapting to his new mount. “ It's a car relatively close to what I've driven in the past. I managed to adapt very quickly otherwise I would not have been competitive. I like the car and the championship. »

In Jarama, Sébastien Bourdais will not be the only Frenchman since Tristan Gommendy (FC Porto), Nelson Panciatici (Olympique Lyonnais) and Julien Jousse (AS Roma) will also have the opportunity to highlight one last time this season.
