C1: Pulcini winner, ART GP titled in Sochi

Starting from pole position, Leonardo Pulcini (Campos Racing) did all the work resisting attacks from Callum Ilott (ART GP) and Giuliano Alesi (Trident) at the start. Behind him, tempers are heating up and Anthoine Hubert (ART GP) passed his compatriot to climb into third position at the end of the first lap.

With a view to the championship, Anthoine Hubert's overtaking just outside the stadium on Callum Ilott for 2e place takes on particular importance. At the same time, Nikita mazepin (ART GP), relegated to 8e position on the grid, manages to quickly climb back into the top 3 while the Briton's race turns into a nightmare, far from the leading pace.

Despite a contentious overtake at the start of the race, Mazepin performed well in the championship by passing Hubert on the penultimate lap for 2e place as Ilott comes out of points and finishes 13e.

Leonardo Pulcini signs his first victory in the GP3 Series and gives Campos his first victory since Austria 2017 and Raoul Hyman. The double podium of Nikita Mazepin and Anthoine Hubert offers ART GP the team title with three races remaining in the season.

Richard Verschoor (MP Motorsport) signs his best result with a 4e place ahead of David Beckmann (Trident), who started last, and Simo Laaksonen (Campos). One beat 4e, Jake Hughes (ART GP) must be satisfied with a 7e place ahead of Joey Mawson (Arden) who once again inherits the reverse pole.

The Jenzers of Juan Manuel Correa and Tatiana Calderón complete the top 10 just ahead Gabriel Aubry (Arden). For his debut in GP3, Sacha fenestraz (Arden) finished in 16e place while Giuliano Alesi cannot do better than 14e.
