C2: Alesi passes between the drops

In a race on a drying track, Giuliano Alesi scored his first success of the season ahead of the ART GP of Anthoine Hubert and Jakes Hughes.

Starting from second position, Giuliano Alesi (Trident) made a much better start than Juan Manuel Correa (Jenzer) in pole position and took the lead of the race from the first corner. Further back in the peloton, it’s Anthoine Hubert (ART GP) who put on a show and passed four cars on the first lap and quickly found himself second.

The wet track proved to be very tricky despite the rain tires with no less than 3 safety car interventions. Despite the attacks from the ART pilots, the pilot Ferrari resisted and signed his first success this season while Anthoine Hubert once again finished second. The comeback in the race is to the credit of Jake Hughes (ART GP), who started 13^e and climbed back to the podium.

Manuel Correa finishes in 4th^e place in front of the MP Motorsport of Dorian Boccolacci and Niko Kari. Callum Ilott (ART GP) signs a 7^e place and ahead of Simo Laaksonen (Campos) who takes the last available point. Leonardo Pulcini (Campos) and Nikita mazepin (ART GP) complete the top 10. Julien Falchero (Arden) finishes 11^e et Gabriel Aubry (Arden) had to retire after contact with teammate Joey Mawson.
