The surprise is big. Outgoing Super Formula champion Nick Cassidy is conspicuous by his absence as Toyota revealed its plans for the 2020 season this Friday, February 7.
The 25-year-old New Zealander, also winner of the Super GT with Lexus in 2018 and always on the final podium for the last three years, only appears in the list reserved for the Japanese Grand Touring championship. He will team up with Ryo Hirakawa at TOM'S with the new Supra GT500.
However, a place remains available in Super Formula, on the side of the TOM'S team, with a curious number 1, i.e. the team alongside Nick Cassidy in 2019 and the number reserved for him as champion...
