End clap at Castellet

4 Hours Endurance GT / Tourism: Simpson and Tomlinson take the LMP3 to the top step ahead of Pagny / Bouvet / Perrier.

The race was quite open between LMP3 and GTV1 at the front; Moreover, few incidents were to be deplored during these 4 hours except for the crew Patrice and Paul Lafargue (IDEC Sport Racing) who caused a sensation at the start by ignoring all their competitors. Unfortunately their Porsche 911 GT3-R n°1 was forced to return to the box at around 16 p.m. due to a mechanical problem. The reigning champions will finish 14th overall.

Pole men Michael Simpson and Lawrence Tomlinson, who had lost a few places at the start, meanwhile moved up the rankings to take the lead with one hour to go. They will never leave this position again. The #3 Ginetta Juno LMP32 thus achieved its very first success in V de V but the victory in GTV1 went to series leaders Jean-Paul Pagny, Jean-Bernard Bouvet and Thierry Perrier (Visiom? Ferrari F458 GT 2 n°2) classified 2nd in the race. Until the end their Ferrari was nevertheless under pressure from the AF Corse team (Cordoni / Zanuttini / Montermini – Ferrari 458 GT3) which finished just 19?. Then follow the No. 911 Porsche 3 GT267 R from ANT Performance (Terrail / Von Burg / Amstutz) and the No. 4 BMW Z39 from ROAL Motorsport (Mulacchie / Rangoni). The latter could have hoped for an even better result without this puncture and these regular visits to the boxes during the last hour.

Pierre Fontaine and Christophe Decultot (Porsche 991 n°93 – Bullfight by N?Race), ranked 8th overall, won in the GTV2 category ahead of Porsche Almeras (Martinet / Tremblay / Ledogare – Porsche 997 Cup S n°65) and AB Sport Auto (Thybaud / Proust? Audi R8 LMS n°45).

This success for Pagny / Bouvet / Perrier allows them to further extend their lead at the top of the championship.

V de V Endurance Challenge

Race 2: Le Calvez dominates his opponents

Yann Le Calvez (Elva MK8 n°3 at Meca Motor), who started from the 2nd row, won the last race of the weekend with almost two laps ahead of his closest pursuers: the Porsche 3.0 n° 72 of the duo Cruvelier / Triniane (Ecurie d?Armagnac 91). The Chevron B60 n°27 of the Courage Classic team (Legras / Debrie) completes the winning trifecta. Pole sitter John Doe (Chevron B60 n°121 at Classic Racing Experience) was forced to retire. Same fate for Franck Metzger (Cesca Grac n°6? Team 4), winner of race 1 a few hours earlier.
