Clément Novalak signs with Trident

His twelfth place obtained last season with Carlin, a top team but in difficulty in the FIA F3, has apparently been recognized at its fair value by the other teams. Clément Novalak was indeed in great demand this winter by the various teams present next season in the category. 

And unsurprisingly, after completing (and dominating the first day) all the end-of-season tests with Trident, the Franco-Swiss decided to sign up with the Italian team for 2021, which finished second in the team standings. behind Prema in 2020 with David Beckmann, Lirim Zendeli and Olli Caldwell. This year, he will team up with the German David Schumacher, son of Ralf and nephew of Michael. 

It will run under French license

“I felt a great chemistry with the team during the end-of-season tests, Clément explained to us. It’s a great place to grow as a driver, perform and have a great season. I don't set detailed goals. Obviously, there is that added pressure of being a repeater. So I will have to perform, win races and take poles. We will know very quickly where we are in the hierarchy” he explained. 

Good news never comes alone, Clément Novalak, Franco-Swiss but resident in the United Kingdom, will ride under the French flag this year while he has been riding under a British license since his debut in car. “I am entering increasingly international categories, he explained to us. En karting and in English F3, I paid little attention to it, but my roots are French. I haven't lived there much but I was born there and every time I take a train or a plane in France, I feel at home, so it was important to make the change this year.
