A1GP outcome at Brands-Hatch

Due to health risks, the organizers of the A1GP played it safe by simply canceling the last meeting of the season, which was to take place in Mexico. Two races less for the protagonists, who will only have this weekend to manage their lead or seek final victory.

At the head of the championship is the outgoing champion, Switzerland led by the former reserve pilot Toro Rosso Neel Jani. With only 2 points ahead of Ireland, it cannot afford to have a drop in performance in England. Ireland, for its part, is thirsty for revenge. Indeed, during the last meeting in Portugal, their driver Adam Carroll was penalized after the race by 25 seconds for having overtaken before the line during a restart, thus depriving him of his second place acquired on the track. The worst being that he had already received a penalty for a questionable early departure?

In the role of outsider, Portugal is not left out. Led by Filipe Albuquerque, he can still aim for the title, being only 6 lengths behind the leader. Note that at the current stage of the championship, Switzerland would see 4 points deducted from its capital, the worst result being deducted. A factor to also take into account. The cancellation of Mexico does not help the affairs of the Netherlands, which mathematically can no longer be titled. Fifth, France, champion in 2005-2006, will count on Nicolas Cheers to defend its position against Malaysia.

So, who, Ireland or Portugal, will be able to put Switzerland back on track? Response to Brands-Hatch on Sunday.
