Doohan dominates first day of testing at Jerez

Just three days after the end of the first FIA round F3 in Barcelona, the thirty drivers who make up the grid were back in the Dallara in Jerez for two days of testing. Faster in the two sessions of the day, Jack Doohan (Trident) logically dominated the first day by setting a time of 1'29"625 on Wednesday morning ahead of his French teammate Clément Novalak (Trident/+0"051).

The afternoon session was slower but the Australian was still ahead, in the same tenth as his main pursuers, the two Hitech Grand Prix rookies Ayumu Iwasa and Jak Crawford. Already in good shape in the morning, Victor Martins concluded the afternoon in 5th place, 0”176 behind the best time set by his teammate.

Note the beautiful 9th place of Pierre-Louis Chovet (Jenzer) during the morning session. For his part, Victor Martins (MP Motorsport) covered 46 laps in the afternoon and set the 17th fastest time of the second session. The thirty drivers will be back on track this Thursday for a final day of driving.
